At midnight on Tuesday 1st December, equitysport Founder, Tim Harper completed 24 hours of non-stop walking to raise awareness and funds for equality, diversity and equal opportunity in global sport as part of #GivingTuesday.
The day saw equitysport supporters across the world show their support for our movement to make global sport fairer by taking their own #24STR8 walk for 24 minutes, making donations big and small to raise almost £3k for the charity and through a wave of support through social media, raise the profile of the mission here at equitysport!

This #GivingTuesday, that's 1st of December 2020, equitysport Founder, Tim Harper is going to walk on a treadmill for 24 hours straight to raise money to advance equality, diversity and equal opportunities in global sport. The FULL 24 hour walk will be streamed LIVE on YouTube with a number of exciting activations throughout via Instagram LIVE.

Double down on our commitment to improving collective understanding of inequality in global sport through research and public information campaigns.

Expand our targeted advocacy programmes to ensure sport lives up to its promises, particularly to underrepresented groups.

Establish a path to real and effective legal recourse to tackle instances of discrimination and provide a powerful voice to the underrepresented and underserved in sport.

Grow our capacity building programmes to democratise sport, break down knowledge silos and better distribute resources, wealth and opportunity in sport.
It's been a hugely challenging year for the charity sector at large, but particularly for small international development charities like us. Our fundraising plans have been decimated by COVID-19 and the restrictions to our daily lives, but, despite the difficult circumstances, we have continued to deliver our support to some of the most under-served and disadvantaged sporting communities in the world.
This #GivingTuesday, we are determined to finish the year with a celebration of community spirit, pulling together to advance equality, diversity and equal opportunity in and through global sport. Join us by supporting the challenge with a donation, big or small to make sport fairer.
